Graduate Degree Programs in Mathematical Biology
The number of graduate degree programs is growing. This page aims at listing any many as possible, including the new programs that are popping up outside of the spotlight.
NSF Interdisciplinary Training for Undergraduates in Biology and Mathematics (UBM) programs
Since 2003, the National Science Foundation has run a program (UBM) to support and promote the development of interdisciplinary research with undergraduates as well as institutional transformation to support undergraduate learning at the intersection of the life and mathematical sciences. This page lists the schools with UBM programs along with enough information to allow those interested to find out more information about any one of them.
Undergraduate Degree Programs in Mathematical Biology
Several US and Canadian Universities offer degree programs in Mathematical Biology. Below is a partial list assembled by Principle Investigators of the National Science Foundation's UBM programs.
Professional Societies
Professional associations and societies play an important role in the life of a teacher-scholar and life-long learner. These are a few societies that members of our mathematical biology community might find interesting and valuable.
Deadlines
Upcoming deadlines for activities of interest to students and faculty.
Conferences
Here are conferences taking place this year that may be of interest to members of Truman's mathematical biology community. Many of these conferences would serve as great venues for undergraduates who have research results to present orally or in poster form.
LaTeX for Biologists
If you've spent any time with the people of the Mathematical Biology program, you'll know that the mathematicians and computer science folks love this technical typesetting system called LaTeX. For some who are completely at home with Microsot Word, it's hard to understand why LaTeX is such an attractive way to create documents. READ MORE after the jump.
Mathematical Biology Program Press Releases
Many great things are being done by faculty and students who are connected with Truman's Mathematical Biology Program. Students present the results of the research at professional conference poster and papers sessions, they and their faculty mentors and advisors publish papers in peer reviewed journals, and the program staff are invited to share what they have learned with other institutions. We collect news of all these exciting events here in the program Press Room.
